A native of Austin, Dr. Tucker attended Davidson College, where she graduated with distinction as a double major in Psychology and Spanish. She then attended the APA-accredited PhD program in Clinical Psychology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. During graduate school, Dr. Tucker worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a variety of settings. Dr. Tucker published several papers in peer-reviewed academic journals, presented at national conferences, and graduated as the "Outstanding Intern" of her class in 2013.
Dr. Tucker completed her postdoctoral fellowship in Women's and Children's Services at Baylor University Medical Center in 2014 and remained on-staff through 2020 providing patient care, supervising psychology interns and fellows, educating medical residents and physicians, and conducting women’s health research. Dr. Tucker has received specialized training in the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and is a certified Circle of Security-Parenting© educator. She completed a two-year advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy in 2013, and she graduated full psychoanalytic training through the Dallas Psychoanalytic Center in 2022.
Dr. Tucker began private practice in Dallas in 2014 , and her practice relocated to Denver in 2023. She is licensed in Colorado and Texas, provides in-person care for adults and adolescents at her Denver-based office, and practices virtually in PSYPACT-participating states (https://psypact.site-ym.com/page/psypactmap). She is a member of the International Psychoanalytical Association, American Psychoanalytic Association, Denver Psychoanalytic Society, Dallas Psychoanalytic Center, and Dallas Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology. While in Dallas, she served in leadership roles within local professional organizations for over a decade and received a Service Award from the Dallas Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology in 2023.
